Rebilly supports many different types of payment methods:

  • Payment cards (includes credit and debit cards)
  • ACH (also known as echecks or EFT)
  • PayPal
  • UPayCard
  • China UnionPay (which behaves somewhat differently from payment cards)
  • Alipay
  • WeChat Pay
  • Flexepin
  • Rapid Transfer
  • Giropay
  • Bitcoin
  • EPS
  • and more...

Each business is unique, and different payment methods may be more successful for some audiences than others. We are continually looking to add new payment methods to give you flexibility to help you grow your business. Please contact us to request any new integrations.

Some payment methods do not support asynchronous recurring payments. As such, the only way they can work in a recurring context is if the customer actively completes a payment at each cycle. These payment methods may be more convenient for businesses that have longer cycles (annual) or one-time sales.

The payment methods that do support rebills and 1-click upsells allow us to store the payment instrument information in our encrypted vault. We call those Payment Cards (for payment card payments), Bank Accounts (for ACH payments), and PayPal Accounts (for PayPal payments).

Some payment methods require a customer to visit a 3rd party approval url to complete the purchase. And some may require that only at the first transaction. We’ve listed some common scenarios below to help you navigate this process.
